A free Windows app that shows where a ham radio callsign has been heard, using PSK Reporter data — designed from the ground up to be fully usable with a screen reader.

Free installer for Windows 10/11, 64-bit, downloaded as a zip. Your browser may warn that the file "isn't commonly downloaded" — that's expected for a small independent project; choose Keep / Download anyway. Extract PSKHeardBy.msi from the zip and run it. What it does

PSK Reporter collects millions of "I heard this station" reports from FT8, FT4, and other digital modes around the world. Its own map and tables are hard to follow with a screen reader. PSK Heard By asks PSK Reporter a single question — where has this callsign been heard? (or who has this callsign heard?) — and lays the answer out as a plain Windows tree you can group, expand, and read entirely from the keyboard.

Built for screen readers

Every control has a clear accessible name, every action has a keyboard shortcut, and nothing steals focus. Tested with JAWS and NVDA.

Group the results your way

Arrange the tree by band, country, state or province, grid, distance, and callsign — in whatever order makes sense to you.

Both directions

"Who heard me" shows stations that copied your signal. "Who I heard" shows stations your callsign reported hearing.

Auto-refresh

Let it re-check every 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes while you operate, with an optional sound on success or failure.

Distance and band worked out for you

Each spot shows the receiver's grid, the band, the signal report, how long ago it was, and the great-circle distance in miles.

Accumulate over a session

Optionally keep spots across refreshes so you build a picture of a whole operating session, not just the last few minutes.

Staying up to date

Press F4 in the app at any time to open its update page and see whether a newer version is out. PSK Heard By can also check quietly when it starts and offer to install an update for you — turn that on or off in Options.
