2 At the very front of the phone is a tiny little slot that you can insert a small screwdriver and twist it just ever so slightly so that you can get a fingernail and pull it off.
3 Once the back is off, you can insert the battery.
4 The simm card slides into a slot with the visible contacts on the simm facing downward. It is located on a ledge on the back side of the battery. It has the appearance of sliding underneath the exposed glass of the camera. But the slot is on a ledge on the backside of the battery.
5 The Micro SD card slides from the side of the phone also has the appearance of going underneath the exposed glass of the camera. This one is not behind the battery, but on the side of the phone. The back has to be completely off for you to find this tiny slot.

This description is for the new Nokia Maps 3.3 main menu interface.
Usually when you open the application you are greted with the main menu which consists of 10 icons. There are two rows of 4 icons which are displayed on the screen and a further 2 which can be seen at the bottom left of the screen. The display almost looks like a 4-4-2 formation. For those who follow football will know what I'm relating to.
When you first open the Ovi Maps 3.3 app the drive icon is highlighted. The drive icon is located on the left of the screen, second one down from the top left icon. If you select this drive icon you will be presented with a further 3 icons. The highlighter will be on the first of the 3 icons presented which is on the left of the other two icons. The first icon is called drive home in this submenu. Selecting this will prompt the app to start navigation to your home location.
The second icon in this sub menu is called Set Destination. Pressing select on this will bring up a accessible menu where you can select an option of your choice. These choices consist of History, Favourites, Search and finally From Map. The From Map is the 4th option.
The third and final icon from this Drive submenu is called Map. If you select this you will be shown a Map view of your current location. From this Map you can press select and you will then be presented with a accessible menu. The first of these options is Show Details. This will give you further information in text so You will know exactly where you are currently standing. For example a name of the road and the number of the property in which you may be standing by. Second option is Share location. Third option is Save Place. 4th option is Send. I have now covered the drive section of Ovi Maps 3.3.
My Position Icon
>From the main icon screen remember when I pointed out that the highlighter is stationed on the Drive icon in which I have described in detail above. Above this icon is the My position icon which is situated on the top left of the screen. It's the first icon in the first row of icons. To get to this you just arrow up once from the Drive icon. With in this map view, you can hit select to bring up an accessible menu. These consist of Show Details,Share Location, Save Place and the final option in the list is Send.
Find Places
The Find Places icon is the second icon in from the top left next to the My Position Icon. Pressing select on this will bring up a search box. Once you type in your search you should be presented with a result of your search.
Share Location
The Share Location Icon is the third icon in the top ro after the Find Places icon. You will have to create a Nokia account to take advantage of this feature.
Favourites
The Favourites Icon is the 4th and last icon in the top row. This is on the right of the Share Location icon. Pressing select on this will bring up the Favourites menu. The options here are Sincronise with Ovi, Places, Routs and Create New Collection.
Second row of 4 icons description
The First option in this row of icons is the Drive option. I have covered this earlier on in this document.
Walk
The Walk option resides next door to the Drive icon. Selecting this option will bring up a submenu of three icons. The first icon is Walk Home. This will trigger the navigation mode and you will be ready to take your journey on foot. Icon 2 is the Set Destination option. From heare you can select an address from a previous history or favourites. There are also options to search or select from map. As the map it self is inaccessible I think this option is not applicable for the VI user. The final option in the Walk submenu is help. Sadly this is also inaccessible.
Weather
The Weather icon is the third icon in the second row and this is inaccessible.
Events
The Events Icon is the final icon in the second row of four. This feature is also inacfcessible.
Third row of 2 icons
The third row which is the bottom row has two icons. Both are inaccessible. The first is called Loanly Plannet and the neighbouring icon is called Michelin.
Description of the main menu display:
When you are in portrait mode there is three rows of Three Icons, These are:
My position, Find Places, Share Location
Favorites, [Drive], Walk
Weather, Events, Lonely Planet
When you are in Lanscape mode There is two rows of four icons with one at the bottom.
My Position, Find Places, Share Location, Favorites
[Drive', Walk, Weather, Events
Lonely Planet
Step by step instructions on how to download Ovi Maps 3.3 and using it...
This has been tested using a phone such as Nokia n86, Nokia e72, Nokia n97, Nokia x6, Nokia 5800, Nokia e55, Nokia e52, and all other feature pack 2 s60
v3 and s60 v5 phones. The phone must be supported or the installation won't work. Any Feature pack 1 phones such as e71, n75, n82, etc can't utilize ovi maps 3.3.
First, using your phone's web browser, navigate to http://www.nokia.com/maps
Go to the heading of "Mobile navigation for everyone" and find the link of "Download Ovi Maps with free navigation" which can be found directly the link of "and much more" under the heading listed.
After that, go to the "Download ovi maps for" heading. Navigate down twice and you will find the link of "download." select it and the download of Ovi Maps 3.3 should begin.
Install the program (The program can only be download into the phone's C:
drive so ensure you have enough space on your phone. This shouldn't be a problem on a phone such as the e72, but phones such as n86 and n97 tend to have limited C: drive space. Just be aware.).
After the installation is complete. Ovi maps 3.3 should be on your phone. It will only be listed as "Maps" and there is no other real way to know what version is being run, but since you have just gone through the process, you should know you are running ovi maps 3.3. If you are having problems finding this, it should always be in your applications menu by default.
Once you find "Maps," select it and you will go into the programs main menu.
There are two features that are easily reached, but for now I will discuss the settings menu and support feature.
Once you are within "maps" main menu, click the top left select key which is on all Nokia phones. A menu will open with three choices. Account (Which is not really very important to anyone of us for the time being), Settings, and support. If you select settings, there will be five choices. Internet, navigation, route, map, synchronization. In internet, you can change the connection ovi maps uses (This is very important because depending on the phone and network, you can connect to a network that ovi maps uses to download relevant information and maps onto your phone for the gps to
utilize.) If you go into navigation, the first choice is drive guidance.
Enter that and the English UK with street names should be the 15th choice out of 59. The English us with street names is 17 out of 59. Select one of those and your phone will automatically download the voice. After that, you can go to walk guidance and the English UK with street names is 3 out of 10 and the English us with street names is 4 out of 10. Select it and you will have the voice. After that, one very important feature that should be set up is home location. Select it and if the location listed is not your home address, change it by selecting my position which will automatically choose the current location you are at and make that your home location, search allows you to manually input the address you want. Home location is extremely important because it allows you to use drive or walk from where ever you are and gives you gps directions with little need to input anything. The other settings at this point aren't that important and I won't go into them because they should be pretty self explanatory and you can decide if you want to tweak them or not.
When you are done doing all the things in the settings menu, you can go to support. About, legal notices, and feedback is there. The other two aren't accessible, but feedback is and I recommend you leave feedback to explain that you want the program to be made fully accessible for talks users as it will get to nokia and lend us all attention from nokia and if they are aware of us wanting the accessibility, they are more likely to actually do it.
After leaving feedback, you can go back to the main menu by pressing the top right select key. I can't say how many to actually press it to get back to the main menu, but if you press enough that it leaves the program, no big deal. Simply relaunch the program and it will automatically take you back to the main menu and by default, it always leaves you over the drive option highlighted. If you ever close "Maps," and relaunch it, it will always leave on Drive highlighted.
If you wish to get driving directions, then simply press select. Once that is done, you are always placed on home location highlighted. If you select that, then it will automatically find your current location and automatically provide you with voice guided directions to get home. If you are not looking for your home location, after selecting drive, simply press right once and you will highlight the search feature. If you select that, it will take you to an accessible menu with three choices. The two important ones are history and search which you can get to by pressing up and down. If you select history, all the previous searches you made will be listed with how far you are from that location. If you select one of the history choices, it will automatically realize your current location and provide you with voice directions to get to what you chose. If you select the search feature, you can type in the place or address you want and once you press select, it will state searching. After a bit, search results will come up and you have the choice of selecting one. When you do select one, the gps will automatically find your location and provide you with relevant voice directions to get to your destination.
From the main menu, since drive is always highlighted by default, going right once will leave you highlighting the walk feature. This is almost exactly the same as if you were using the drive feature. Once selecting walk, it will leave you highlighting home location which you can select to get to your home address. Going right once will leave you highlighting search and selecting that will leave you in the accessible menu with history and search.
If you ever get lost, do not worry. Closing the program and restarting will always leave you highlighting drive and this should be able to reorient you.
All the other features that are accessible should be self explanatory and with not too much practice, you should gain a level of familiarity with the program despite its quirks. If you are searching for a specific location and the results come up as not found, don't fret, simply research and the results you want will show up. For some reason, ovi maps doesn't always find the search results the first time. I don't know why this is, but Nokia will probably fix it with the next release.

Note:
Regarding the 201
When using the U S A format where the date is in MM/DD/YYYY This insures that Talks knows what is the year and allows you to then replace the / between the day and year with a space. You only need three of the digits and not the full 4 digits being you are then telling Talks to replace the slash with a space and filling back in the 201. This away the date format will work for 10 years in this case or up until the year 2019 before you would need to change it again. This also insures that talks can tell the difference between the slash before the year and the one before the day.
This also insures that you do not need to worry about what Talks processes first as far as the dictionary. At least these are the things I thought about when I came up with this way back in late 2006 when Talks came out with the dictionary to Talks on the old 2nd Edition phones.
In the UK format where the date is in DD/MM/YYYY you do not need to worry about the year at all beings the slash on either side of the months will take care of it for you.
